African Queen Stanford is an eco-friendly cruise up and down the beautiful Klein River in Stanford, South Africa – just outside Hermanus. With breathtaking views of the Klein River Mountains, this unforgettable Stanford River trip will be one to remember.
Day Trip ~Stanford, South Africa
The Klein River itself features more than 127 bird species along with a variety of salt & freshwater life, including bass. Otter’s, terrapins and various other indigenous animals are also found here. Our sundowner cruise is the best way to end your day. Watch the sun slip away behind the Mountains, with trees playing hide and seek in the reflection of the river water and birds singing till nightfall comes.
What to expect
Apart from being a one in a lifetime experience, this makes the perfect setting for social-cruises, birthday parties, wine tasting, year-end functions, weddings, booze cruises, bachelor/ette’s and any other memorable celebration you can think of.
Whatever time of day you choose, this river will never disappoint! We cruise down the river about 5-7km’s, turn around and moor somewhere quiet along the river banks for a braai, while you take a dip in clean mountain waters.
We also have some tubes with ropes for towing for the kids (and young at heart adults). Your skipper has excellent knowledge of the river, birdlife and surroundings and will be able to share interesting tales on some of the riparian’s en route.

Rates start from R200.00 pp with a minimum of 10 passengers for a cruise required. We add smaller bookings together. Maximum passengers allowed onboard is 30 passengers.
No charge for kids under 3yrs of age.

Transfers to and from Stanford are available. Catering can be arranged on request..
