10 Day Namibia Private Tour
A wonderful accommodated private tour focusing on Namibia’s highlights. Your private guide will introduce you to the sights and sounds that make Namibia such a unique country.
Day 1 ~ Sossousvlei
We drive straight to the heart of the Namib Desert where we will be staying for the next 2 days. From your lodge you have magnificent views of the mountains of the Namib Desert.

Day 2 ~ Sossousvlei
We rise early today to catch the sun rising over the spectacular dunes, totally breath-taking. For energetic types you can climb dune 45, or else relax at the bottom of the dune and soak up the atmosphere. After breakfast we will continue on foot into the desert, to take us to Deadvlei.
After lunch, and perhaps a relaxing dip in the pool we set off on the short drive to Sesriem Canyon.

Day 3 ~ Swakopmund
Our drive to Swakopmund today takes us through some very unusual scenery, the strangest of which being the ‘moon landscape’. Before arriving at Swakopmund we will stop off at Walvis Bay to visit the flamingo colony that is present most of the year round. On arrival in Swakopmund we will settle you in the lodge and then take an orienteering drive through the small town. Dinner that night will be spent in a local restaurant, and if you want to experience some Namibian nightlife then your guide can point you in the right direction! The following day is spent exploring the markets, shops and beaches of Swakopmund at your leisure.

Day 4 ~ Terrece Bay
Today we only need to depart Swakopmund by 1 pm so you have a free morning to explore the town or partake in optional activities.
There are numerous fun optional activities for the more adventurous. (Quad biking the dunes,(amazing fun) sky diving, scenic flights over the desert, etc.) Your guide will book any optional activities for you. Please ask Kate if you have any particular activity in mind, and she will forward a price guide to you.
We travel further North along the coast stopping to visit a huge seal colony we will drive up Skeleton coast a short way before reaching the last available and accessible accommodation reachable without a 4X4 and special permits, you will spot a shipwreck hopefully and stop at a Cape Cross en route.

Day 5 ~ Kamanjab
Today we travel further North along the coast stopping to visit a huge seal colony we will drive up the Skeleton coast a short way visiting Cape Cross and the huge seal colony and hopefully spot a few shipwrecks on your drive.

Day 6 ~ Etosha
This morning we depart early in order to reach Etosha by lunchtime.
Etosha’s new and exclusive Dolomite Camp opens up the restricted western side of the park to a limited number of visitors. Guests are accommodated in permanent luxury tents with an elevated view of the endless plains of Etosha National Park in Namibia.
The wildlife has developed without human disturbance and rare species such as black rhino and black-faced impala have established themselves in the area. The area is rich in waterholes that attract elephant, rhino, leopard, lion, springbok, gemsbok and red hartebeest. The birdlife is prolific and the seasonal flowers of Dolomite Hill are a highlight for botanists.
Dolomite’s guests have access to western Etosha trough Galton Gate. Perched on the top of a little hill Dolomite Camp offers sublime view to complement the luxuriously appointed camp. The camp is unfenced allowing animals to roam freely between the tents and communal area. However, with personal escorts, your safety is guaranteed at all times. The restaurant serves delicious and satisfying meals and the personnel will always greet you with a smile. A rim-flow swimming pool, a curio shop, and a viewing deck overlooking a prolific waterhole provide entertainment during the day, while the bar area is ideal to relax and socialize with other guests.

Day 7/8 ~ Etosha
For the next 2 days you will be exploring the vast Etosha National Park in pursuit of interesting animals. Each rest camp has a swimming pool and bar area for you to relax and cool off in the heat of the day.
The evenings are spent in the Etosha National Park rest camps, where there is a floodlit waterhole for viewing nocturnal animals.
As much game driving as you like can be done on your own in the air-conditioned minivan vehicle otherwise there are optional group open vehicle guided game drives run through the park available.
Spend the day exploring the park and the evening enjoying all the action at Etosha’s best waterhole.

Day 9 ~ Otjiwarongo
Transit day 320kms.
The central region of Namibia is known for its friendly hosts and fine cuisine. A wide variety of birdlife, wildlife, and unique flora, provides our visitors with excellent opportunities to enjoy their stay.

Day 10 ~ Windhoek
Today we will be passing through Okanhanja whose Wood Cavers are a major tourist attraction and offer curios at very low prices. Stone and other products are also available. Most of the items sold are truly African and are made locally. So make sure you visit the entrepreneurs and get something special to take home.
Your guide will drop you off at the airport.
