Ngorongoro Conservation Area is in northern Tanzania. It’s home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and “big 5” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals. Hominin fossils found in the Olduvai Gorge date back millions of years.
Day 0 ~ Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro airport at 2:30 pm, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your overnight accommodation where you will be given a briefing on what to expect whilst on safari.
Tonight’s accommodation is not included but can easily be added to the tour various options are available.
Day 1 ~ Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will depart as early as 8:30 am towards Tarangire national park for a day game drive and overnight at Twiga Lodge/Heaven nature budget tented camp.
One of the less well known game reserves in Tanzania, Tarangire compares with the Serengeti in the large numbers and diversity of its wildlife. It is a good option for travellers who wish to encounter more animals (particularly elephants) and less tourists while on safari. The Tarangire National Park is also known as a wonderful birding destination. During the dry season, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area, which offers excellent sightings as it attracts the reserves large amount of wildlife. The landscape is a dream too, due to the high number of magnificent baobabs and its extensive marshlands.
The accommodation on this tour is in budget rooms or tents with shared ablutions.

Day 2 ~ Ngorongoro Crater National Park
After breakfast start driving to Ngorongoro crater for a day game drive and overnight at Twiga Lodge/Heaven nature.

After breakfast you will go to Lake Manyara national park for the half day game drive till lunch time then start driving back to Arusha for your overnight or airport drop off.
