DAY 1 - Heading out through the suburbs of Nairobi and onto the Masaai Plateau, there is a good chance of
seeing some game including Giraffe and Thomson's Gazelle. We get to Namanga, cross the border into
Tanzania and under the gaze of Mnt Arusha arrive in the Safari capital of East Africa, Arusha. A BBQ
awaits us at our campsite - Meserani Snake Park.

DAY 2 - Today is an early start and in open top vehicles we take the two hour drive to the park gates of the world
famous Serengeti National Park, passing the view point for Ngorongoro Crater on our way. After a game
drive we set up camp within the park, the night noises of the Serengeti has no equal.

DAY 3 - An early morning game drive, spending time watching the amazing variety of wildlife this incredible park
has to offer. After a lunch and short game drive you will head back to Simba campsite at Ngorongoro, set
up camp and enjoy your evening listening to your guide's stories.

DAY 4 - You will head down into the Crater for a full morning drive, exploring this almost Jurassic Park like place.
Ngorongoro holds many surprises, plenty of large carnivores and some of the few remaining East African
Rhino, eyes peeled! At lunch time you head back up to Simba for refreshments and then back to Meserani
to get showered, have a drink and share your stories over dinner.

DAY 5 - Passing under the shadows of Kilimanjaro early enough to hopefully gain some photos before the mist
shrouds the summit we take the long but necessary drive to Dar Es Salaam, hotel accommodation for the
entire group awaits.

DAY 6 - Today we hop on the fast ferry across to the spice Island of Zanzibar. We check into our hotel and then
have the rest of the day free to explore the intoxicating Stone Town. In the evening you are free to try the
multitude of good restaurants or join your crew for sundowners at Africa House Hotel and then onto the
seafront to sample the seafood that is barbecued by the locals here.

DAY 7 - In the morning we set out on a spice tour of the Island followed by a local lunch then we take the short
drive to the north of the Island to our beach destination for three nights. The afternoon and evening will be
your own.

DAY 8 - A completely free day at the resort is followed by an evening Seafood Buffet and local dancing. A good
opportunity to scuba dive if you are qualified or not, beginner dives are available.

DAY 9 - A day's snorkelling is available with a good chance of seeing dolphins; a boat cruise may be available if
preferred. There are numerous activities available including joining in with the local daily beach football
match or volleyball.

DAY 10 - We head back to the mainland and after re-filling with supplies we either stay in Dar Es Salaam or head
out of the city and towards Selous for a bush camp. This will be a decision taken on the day by your crew.

DAY 11 - Selous is larger than Switzerland or Denmark, the Selous Game Reserve is the largest protected area in
Africa. It was established over a period of 40 years during the first half of the 20th century. Over 60,000
Elephant roam Selous and it has a good head of carnivores including Wild Dog - Africa's most threatened
large carnivore species. We spend two days here with a variety of game drives.

DAY 12 - Our second day in Selous, and a trip on the Rifiji River. Due to its unique ecological importance, the
Selous Reserve was designated a 'World Heritage Site" by the United Nations in 1982. The Selous is also
perhaps the most natural wilderness still remaining in Africa.

DAY 13 - Through Mikumi National Park and down towards Ruaha, we spend the night in one of the Tented Camps on the edge of the park.

DAY 14 - A full day's game driving in Ruaha National Park and for many the last reasonable chance to see the highly endangered Wild Dog.

DAY 15/16 - A couple of driving days end in a welcome site with the arrival at Chitimba Beach resort on beautiful Lake
Malawi
. Two nights are spent here.

DAY 17 - A full day to either enjoy the beach at Chitimba and relax or take an adventurous walk up to Livingstonia
with a local guide. Chitimba also offers the first chance to buy the famous Malawi Chair and many other
wood based curios.

DAY 18 - After a scenic drive over the escarpment we head into the town of Mzuzu to re-stock and buy our fancy
dress outfits! We stop at another excellent curio market and finish our days travelling at the possibly the
most famous Overland campsite, Kande Beach. We spend three days at Kande.

DAY 19 - A free day to enjoy the beach, the many water based sports on offer and the famous bar.

DAY 20 - Your last day at Kande finishes with a meal at the local village Chief's house, a bit of dancing and some
good fun singing with the local children, this is a great opportunity to give away any gifts you have brought
from home.

DAY 22 - A rough drive on a poor road to one of the great African secrets - South Luangwa National Park. We stay at a camp just on the edge of this great river where animals including Elephant are often spotted on the
way to the toilet!

DAY 23 - Your first full day and what a treat, early morning drives or walks are followed by a great breakfast then alazy day by the pool. In the evening we head out for a night drive to spot the rarer seen animals.

DAY 24 - Your last day in this truly wondrous place. An option of an extra drive or walking safari may be available atan extra cost and dependent on the time of year. We spend the late afternoon watching the far bank for
animals and if the river is low enough waiting for the Elephant to cross. A group meal is arranged in the
restaurant.

DAY 25 - A days driving ending in the arrival in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.

DAY 26 - A half day drive to the Houseboat dock near Sinazongwe. Our two night houseboat trip starts here.

Day 27 - A full day spent on the house boats enjoying the fantastic scenery, an occasional wildlife walk and a bit of
fishing for Tiger fish. A welcome day relaxing.

DAY 28 - We head straight into Livingstone and to the gates of the National Park where you will be able to spend
and hour or so viewing the Zambian side of the astounding Victoria Falls. After a quick lunch you will
then cross over to Zimbabwe to view the falls from that side in Victoria Falls National Park, crossing the
magnificent bridge that straddles the Batoka Gorge. After visiting the Falls we head back to Livingstone
and the end of the Wildlife trail and Wildlife Explorer. Expected time of arrival in Livingstone is - 5pm.
For those continuing onwards to Cape Town or just finished the Wildlife Trail there is a group meal at The
Boma in Victoria Falls. Those who have just joined the group in Livingstone to start a tour are more than
welcome to join at your own expense.
