Meals included -
13 Breakfasts
13 Lunches
14 Dinners including 4 Group Restaurant Meals

Day 1 - We head out of Nairobi into the hills above the city and out onto the escarpment overlooking The Great
Rift Valley
. After stopping at a viewpoint for a few photos we then head down to Nakuru Town for a little
curio shopping before heading into Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive. Nakuru is well
known for its good Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo numbers. We camp within the National Park.

Day 2 - An early start to make the most of the morning's game drive. We then head up to Baboon Cliffs lookout
point to have breakfast and take in the awesome views. After leaving the park we take a short drive to
Kembu Camp for a relaxed afternoon. Early evening will bring a 'Chameleon foot Safari'. Kembu has a
lovely bar and decent amenities.

Day 3 - We leave the peace of Kembu Farm and head out to the large town of Eldoret, after refuelling and some
time for shopping we go to Raj's Overland Stop. Famous among Overlanders for its hospitality - a surprise
is in store. Fantastic hot showers await you. A dormitory upgrade is available here for clients on standard
camping package.

Day 4 - We cross the border into Uganda and head for the city of Kampala. A friendly city and worth a look
around, a free afternoon is spent here followed by a group meal in a local restaurant. Hotel / Hostel
accommodation for all clients.

Day 5 - We leave the hustle and bustle of Kampala and take the road south out to the highlands. A long but scenic
drive ends with the arrival at Lake Bunyoni. One of the most beautiful campsites in Africa, this area is
called Uganda's Switzerland. You will have a chance to have a chilly swim or take a hand built canoe out
onto the lake. Prolific bird life exists here and the lake has a healthy population of otters.

Day 6 - After a relaxing morning we head over the hills via a short cut only available to 4x4 and down into
the small town of Kisoro travelling through thick virgin rainforest as we go. This region is subsistence
farming based and quite poor but visually stunning and is our base for The Gorilla Trek. Basic hotel
accommodation supplied for all. Paperwork is to be filled in and talk will be given for the following days
Gorilla Trek.

Day 7 - The Gorilla Trek, one of the most amazing wild animal experiences on earth. After a short drive you will
be taken to the National Park for your trek, led by expert guides you will encounter a family of Mountain
Gorillas in their own habitat. On your return we go back to Lake Bunyoni for a hearty Buffet and chance to
share our experiences and stories of the day.

Day 8 - A driving day, we may stop in Kampala to shop and fuel the vehicles. We finish our days drive on the
shores of the Mighty White Nile River, the longest river in the World. We spend three nights at Nile River
Explorers Camp. Basic Dormitory accommodation available for clients on standard camping package.

Day 9 - Today you will spend the day at one of Uganda's Charity success stories, Softpower Education. Interact
with the children and work on one of Softpower's many worthwhile projects carrying out any number of
jobs from painting to pottery, roofing to bricklaying. A real fun day is had by all.

Day 10 - Raft the Mighty White Nile in a 14ft Raft led by expert guides. The Nile is one of the top three rafting rivers
in the world with mammoth grade five rapids throughout. A brilliant day of world class adrenaline packed
fun
followed by a great BBQ, beers and soft drinks.

Day 11 - After an early start we cross back into Kenya and take a short drive to Kakamega Forest Reserve. In Prime
Rainforest, you will be given a guided walking tour and the chance to take a swim in one of the wonderful
rivers, taking in the birds, monkeys and flora that abound this magical forest. We camp in within the Forest
perimeters.

Day 12 - Through the Kerio Valley and up to Lake Baringo, a stunning drive is followed by the exuberant welcome
of the village boys of Baringo with who we organise a wonderful boat cruise. Watch out for Hippo!

Day 13 - Out of the Kerio Valley and back into the Rift Valley we take a short journey to Lake Naivasha. An area
famous for its flower growing, green beans and dreadful roads! The afternoon is spent at the Late Joy
Adamson's (Born Free) home enjoying an afternoon cream tea in the presence of the resident White-tailed
Colobus monkeys
and prolific bird life.

Day 14 - The morning is spent on mountain bikes in the beautiful Hells Gate National Park, exploring this small but
often surprising park, plains animals abound here and you can often get close. After Lunch we head back
to Nairobi and the end of the Gorilla Safari. Expected time of arrival in Nairobi - 4 pm.
For those continuing onwards to Arusha or just finished the Gorilla Safari there is a group meal at
Carnivores in Nairobi. Those who have just joined the group to start a tour are more than welcome to join
at your own expense.
