DAY 1 - The day starts with a trip to the World famous Victoria Falls, viewed from both the Zambian and
Zimbabwean sides, a unique and awe inspiring place, this experience will leave you smiling for days. The
day wraps up with a BBQ at the camp.

DAY 2 - An early morning Walk with Lions will leave you with some of the best photos possible, a spine tingling
and altogether fantastic morning - that many say is a lifetime highlight. The Afternoon is free for you to
explore or cross over into Zimbabwe to shop in Victoria Falls town or maybe participate in one of the many
optional highlights available here.

DAY 3 - Adrenaline packed day is organised for you on your third day in Livingstone with the day spent Gorge
Swinging, Abseiling and Fox Sliding
followed by an early evening boat cruise on the Zambezi.

DAY 4 - We head out of Livingstone, cross the border into Botswana and take the short drive to Chobe, a relaxing
afternoon of sitting by the pool or a bit of fishing is on offer.

DAY 5 - An early morning game drive into Chobe National Park is followed by a drive to Maun right on the edge of the Kalahari Desert & Nxai Pan. A good chance of seeing enormous Elephant on this drive. We arrive in
Maun early enough to enjoy the pool and a few cold beers after a hot drive.

DAY 6 - Your trip into the Okavango Delta starts today with a drive to the canoe pool, then you meet your Polers
who will guide you through the wild waterways of this the largest inland waterway in the world. These guys
will look after you whilst on this relaxing trip full of magical bird life and utter tranquillity.

DAY 7 - A day exploring the many waterways of the delta, enjoying a swim and a couple of game tracking walks
will be enjoyed on this relaxing day. You may even get a chance to pole your own canoe!

 


DAY 8 - An early return to the camp and time to enjoy a shower and a cold beer before heading to the Airport for
a fixed wing Cessna flight over the Delta, great photo opportunities and a perfect way to appreciate the
vastness of this wonderful place.

DAY 9 - We will leave Maun and stay at either a bush camp or one of the good campsites along the way into
Namibia. Escape Expeditions will use this as a spare day to ensure flexibility in the itinerary-have peace of
mind it will not be wasted.

DAY 10 - After a comprehensive shop in Grootfontein we will visit the Hobas Meteor crash site and a couple of the
other smaller but interesting tourist sites before heading into Kavango Land to Bush Camp.

DAY 11 - We head into Etosha National Park and set up camp at the Namutoni Fort. After camp is up and everyonehas had chance for a dip in the swimming pool we start an afternoon game drive. Back to the camp and
enjoy a meal together before walking to the waterhole that is lit in the evenings to maybe enjoy a bottle of
local wine whilst spotting game.

DAY 12 - An early snack then into the park for a drive and out to the pan to stretch our legs and take some photos.
We then head to Halali, Escape Expeditions favourite camp in Etosha, an excellent big swimming pool,
late brunch and a last afternoon before taking a short game drive. After dinner we walk up to the lit
waterhole to spot animals - this waterhole can be quite stunning with Leopard, Lion, Hyena, Rhino &
Elephant all spotted in one sitting in the recent past.

DAY 13 - We drive to Okaukuejo Rest camp and again set up camp, the game drives on this day are completely
optional; again this camp has an excellent lit waterhole in the evenings with Black Rhino almost
guaranteed. There is a post office at this Rest Camp, bar and very good swimming area.

DAY 14 - After a hearty breakfast we drive to Outjo, take advantage of an excellent butcher and some very good
shops, banking facilities available here too. The day culminates in the arrival at Cheetah Farm. You will
have the chance to pet a tame Cheetah and view the wild Cheetahs kept safe from harms way on this
huge farm now devoted to Cheetah conservation.

 


DAY 15 - Into the heart of Damara Land with visits to The Petrified Forest and the rock engravings at Twefelfontein.
We bush camp in a dry river bed near the Skeleton Coast, enjoying the vastness of the African skies,
walks into the bush and a BBQ.

DAY 16 - A fantastic drive along the Skeleton Coast taking in a wreck or two along the way. We stop at Cape Cross
Seal Colony to view the half a million Cape Fur Seals that live here. We then drive into Swakopmund, the
Adrenaline capital of Namibia. Great restaurants abound here with excellent value for money too. You have
the evening free.

DAY 17 - The morning is spent Sand Boarding in the dunes behind the town, a great fun activity with the option of
laying down or standing up. Lunch and drinks are included. The afternoon is free to spend exploring the
town and meeting up to watch a video of the days Sand Boarding. In the evening we organise a group
meal at one of the many Restaurants in town.

DAY 18 - The morning is free to catch up on e-mails or maybe Skydive from 10,000ft at the local Airport; this is an
optional extra but fantastic fun and a must for the adventurous. In the afternoon we organise a guided
Quad Bike safari through the sand dunes, all ages and experience levels are catered for. The evening is
free.

DAY 19 - After a free morning and a major shop we drive out into the Namib Nakluft to camp and enjoy some of the
most impressive scenery this amazing country has to offer.

DAY 20 - A lovely drive to Sesriem - our base for Sossusvlei, Dune 45 and our Bushman walks. We spend two
nights and a full day exploring this park.

DAY 21 - Your full day here, you get the opportunity to go into the park for Sunrise, Sunset or both, walk up Dune 45made famous in the Jennifer Lopez film The Cell and the guided Bushman Walk in and around Sossusvlei
and Deadvlei.

 


DAY 22 - Our last bush camping opportunity, we cross the Hanam Plateau and stay on the slopes of the Extinct
Volcano - Mount Brukkaros.

DAY 23 - Driving down through Bethanie we head into Luderitz town on the Atlantic Coast after briefly visiting the
Feral Horses of the Namib. Luderitz is an unusual town based now on Off-Shore Diamond Mining and
Fishing. We pick up some great seafood and take it out onto on off the secluded beaches for a Braai. After
dinner we head back into town and stay in a hotel.

DAY 24 - After visiting the Kolmaskop Ghost Mining Town, a complete town left to the ravages of the shifting sands
we drive to Aus. Staying at a campsite, we spend the afternoon exploring some of the many great hiking
trails here.

DAY 25 - No trip to Namibia would be the same without visiting the second largest canyon in the world - The Fish
River Canyon
. An awesome sight especially as the sun sets, we spend an hour or two exploring this area
before heading back to the campsite for dinner.

DAY 26 - An early start to cross the border into The Republic of South Africa. We drive as far as Citrusdal in the
heart of the Cedarburg Mountains and stay at Chameleon back packers.

DAY 27 - South Africa's wine is now world famous and after booking into our Hostel we visit a few of the better
vineyards in the truly stunning Stellenbosch area. The day finishes with a meal out at a local restaurant in
Stellenbosch town. Stellenbosch nightlife is legendary!

DAY 28 - After a nice late start we get into Cape Town just before lunch and finish our epic journey at Ashanti Lodge
- Cape Town's best Lodge. Expected time of arrival in Cape Town - 11:30am
There will be a group meal at one of Cape Town's great restaurants in the evening for all clients. Your crew
will be in Cape Town for a couple of days before leaving for Humansdorp near Jeffery's Bay. They will be
on hand to help you with advice on planning any further onward journeys or activities. Ashanti Lodge also
has a very good Travel Agency on site.
