Day

Our drive to Swakopmund today takes us through some very unusual
scenery, the strangest of which being the 'moon landscape'. Before
arriving at Swakopmund we will stop off at Walvis Bay to visit the
flamingo colony that is present most of the year round. On arrival
in Swakopmund we will settle you in the lodge and then take an orienteering
drive through the small town. Dinner that night will be spent in
a local restaurant, and if you want to experience some Namibian
nightlife then your guide can point you in the right direction!
The following day is spent exploring the markets, shops and beaches
of Swakopmund at your leisure.
There are numerous fun optional activities for the more adventurous.
(Quad biking the dunes, sky diving, scenic flights over the desert
etc.) Your guide will book any optional activities for you. Please
ask Gemma if you have any particular activity in mind, and she will

All our accommodation has been carefully selected through rigorous
research and testing.
In
safari locations we use a combination of luxury permanent tents
and private luxury bungalows in lodges.
The luxury tents are part canvas, part permanent structure, with
en suite bathrooms (the tents sleep 2 persons in twin beds).
Bungalows sleep between 2 and 4 persons, and are spacious, comfortable
and well equipped.
In
non safari locations we use a combination of private bungalows,
log cabins and guest house accommodation.
We
only use the very highest standard of accommodation for our guests
We
do not use backpacker accommodation for our accommodated tours!
